OU softball blasts Texas Tech in series opener as Tiare Jennings hits two HRs for Sooners
Tiare Jennings went 3-for-3 with two home runs and six runs batted in to lead the top-ranked OU softball team to a 14-0 win at Texas Tech on Friday night in Lubbock, Texas.
Kinzie Hansen and Alynah Torres also homered for the Sooners (25-1, 4-0 Big 12).
Kelly Maxwell struck out 10 batters and scattered two hits and four walks in six innings to earn the win.
The Sooners and Red Raiders (21-6, 2-2) will meet in Game 2 of the series at 1 p.m. Saturday.
