OU softball rolls past Utah Valley in opener at Puerto Vallarta College Challenge
Kasidi Pickering hit a first-inning grand slam and the top-ranked OU softball team routed Utah Valley 13-0 in five innings Thursday in the season opener in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
The Sooners, who improved their NCAA-record winning streak to 54 games, will play Duke at about 1 p.m. Thursday.
Jayda Coleman went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs batted in for OU.
Nicole May pitched three scoreless innings to earn the win.
