John Hugley IV will miss time.

After suffering a knee injury during OU’s 66-62 win over Oklahoma State on Feb. 10, Hugley IV recently underwent surgery, Sooners coach Porter Moser told KREF’s Toby Rowland during his weekly coaches show.

"John went ahead and got the surgery on his meniscus,” Moser on Thursday night. “(He’s) definitely out. … We’re keeping the door open that he’ll return.”

Hugley IV wasn’t in uniform during the Sooners’ matchups with Baylor and Kansas last week.

Senior guard Rivaldo Soares’ status is unknown. Moser said Thursday he’s improving by the day.

Soares missed the Kansas game due to an ankle injury suffered against Baylor. He warmed up last Saturday ahead of OU’s contest with the Jayhawks but wasn’t ultimately ready to play.

With or without Soares, OU (18-8, 6-7) is looking to get back on track against in-state rival Oklahoma State (12-14, 4-9) in the final conference Bedlam game at 3 p.m. Saturday in Stillwater.
