Two of [autotag]Oscar De La Hoya[/autotag]'s most bitter enemies will be hosting events on Mexican Independence weekend, and he's already made his pick as to which one he'll attend.

De La Hoya, a retired boxing legend and now promoter, has had long public feuds with boxing champion [autotag]Canelo Alavrez[/autotag] and UFC CEO [autotag]Dana White[/autotag]. Alvarez will be defending his WBA, WBC and WBO super middleweight titles against [autotag]Edgar Berlanga[/autotag] at the T-Mobile Arena, while White will be putting on UFC 306 at the Sphere – both events going down in Las Vegas on Sep. 14.

With both events going head-to-head, De La Hoya has chosen to go out of his sport and attend UFC 306 over Alvarez's title defense.

"We're a week away from the boxing match that nobody asked for, and the UFC event that everyone will be watching," De La Hoya said on his Instagram. "Canelo is fighting Berlanga, another snoozefest. They're trying to sell a pay-per-view for $90 and $500 minimum to watch in person, it's just robbery at this point to pay for another lame Canelo fight that always goes the distance against a subpar opponent.

"I'll actually be attending the UFC event the Sphere instead. Now, I love the sport of boxing more than anything. I will be watching boxing matches anywhere and anytime – even if it's a simple sparring session between two bums fighting on the street. So the idea that I'm choosing to attend a UFC event and support Dana White instead of Canelo, it tells you everything you need to know."

De La Hoya and White have been at odds over the years. It's well documented that they don't like each other, yet De La Hoya seems excited to attend the UFC event on Sept. 14.

"Dana, I can't wait to see you next Saturday, buddy," De La Hoya said. "I see you got the same ab surgery that I got. I always knew that you wanted to be like me. It will be great to hang out with you face to face."
