New Orleans Saints draft picks 2021: Round-by-round selections
Here is a 2021 NFL draft pick-by-pick breakdown for the New Orleans Saints:
Round 1 (No. 28 overall) - Payton Turner, DE, Houston: The four-time defending NFC South champs go with the edge rusher after losing Trey Hendrickson's 13½ sacks in free agency. Turner, who had five sacks and 10½ TFLs in five games last year, joins a pass rush that already includes perennial Pro Bowler Cam Jordan and 2018 first-founder Marcus Davenport, who's been a bit of a disappointment after the Saints traded two first-rounders in 2018 to get him. Round 2 (60) - Pete Werner, LB, Ohio State: He'll team with All-Pro Demario Davis after Alex Anzalone signed with Detroit. An all-Big Ten selection with a nose for the football. Draft tracker
Round 3 (76, from Giants through Broncos) - Paulson Adebo, CB, Stanford: He opted out in 2020 but was all-Pac-12 in 2018 and ’19. He led FBS with 24 passes defensed in 2018 and should compete immediately for a starting role in New Orleans. Draft tracker
Round 4 (133) - Ian Book, QB, Notre Dame
Round 6 (206, from Colts) - Landon Young, OT, Kentucky
Round 7 (255) - Kawaan Baker, WR, South Alabama
