Oregon gives positive first review of Texas Tech's temporary visitors' locker rooms

The first reviews of Texas Tech's visitors' locker rooms at Jones AT&T Stadium were positive.

The temporary compound of air-conditioned trailers east of the stadium was more than adequate for its maiden occupants, 13th-ranked Oregon, who came away with a 38-30 victory Saturday.

"I thought the setup here was really nice," Ducks kicker Camden Lewis said. "I don't know how they set this up, but these trailers are awesome. Every stadium you go to is different. Some of the locker rooms are pretty bad. Some of them are a really far walk, but I thought the setup was pretty good. …

"Far from the worst. Yeah, I've definitely been in much worse."

Visiting teams will utilize the space this season as construction of the Red Raiders' four-story football facility continues. Oregon tight end Patrick Herbert said the team was "so dialed in" pregame the dressing room felt like any other.

Ducks coach Dan Lanning certainly didn't complain. He was complimentary as he took questions from media in a separate, tight-quarters trailer.

"It was fine. Texas Tech has been unbelievable, as far as trip accommodating for the situation that we have here," Lanning said. "Put us anywhere. We'll go line up in a grass field. We'll get our shoulder pads, we'll throw them on. Give us a helmet, tell us you want to go play on the concrete, we'll go play on the concrete.

"Wherever you put the ball down, we're ready to go."
