How Oregon football's Bo Nix, Troy Franklin and more performed during Ducks' Pro Day
Open to NFL draft eligible players from Oregon’s roster in 2023, 15 former Ducks took to the Moshofsky Center on Tuesday to show their skills in front of scouts during Oregon’s Pro Day.
Among those athletes were quarterback Bo Nix, running back Bucky Irving, receiver Troy Franklin, offensive linemen Steven Jones and Jackson Powers-Johnson, defensive linemen Brandon Dorlus, Popo Aumavae, Casey Rogers and Taki Taimani, linebackers Mase Funa and Jamal Hill, defensive backs Khyree Jackson, Steve Stephens IV, and Evan Williams, and kicker Camden Lewis.
Several of these athletes took part in the NFL Scouting Combine a few weeks ago.
Following measurable drills like the 40-yard dash and the vertical and broad jumps, players took to the practice field at Moshofsky, headlined by Nix’s throwing drills. Nix worked with draftable players Irving and Franklin, and also worked with current Duck players Tez Johnson, Traeshon Holden, Terrance Ferguson and Gary Bryant Jr.
Almost every NFL team was present during Nix’s throwing session, which included a combination of short, intermediate and long routes, in the pocket and out.
Nix did not participate in any measurable drills.
One of the strongest performances of the day came from Rogers, who had a 35-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-8 broad jump. Rogers would have finished first in the vertical jump at the NFL Combine among defensive tackles and his broad jump would’ve placed him second.
While Oregon's non-specialists took part in measurable drills, Lewis had a kicking session, attempting placekicks from as far as 60 yards with varied success. After placekicking, he went through a few kickoff drills.
Here’s how each of the athletes that participated in measurable drills performed Tuesday.
