It is now time for name image and liked it.

Adam Brennaman, what do we like?

What name rather did we like today?

What name stood out to you?

Uh The name that stood out to me is Dan Lanning and we've been given him a lot of credit on this show.

We talk about Dan Lanning a lot but I was sitting there watching their just, just watching them destroy Illinois today and couldn't help but think about how great of a figure in college football.

Dale Landing has become now 35 in Oregon after they demolished Illinois today, 38 to 9 in a top 25 game at primetime CBS.

And they absolutely got after ill boy who's played really good this season.

Landing now arguably the best recruiter in college football at this point.

They are one championship for building a 15 plus year dynasty in Eugene, like the Alabama type Dy dynasty that Nick Saban built.

I truly believe Dan Landing is gonna stay there and build it for the long term.

This is not just a fluke for Dan Landing, Oregon and not organ is probably likely gonna finish the regular season and be favored in Indianapolis for the big 10 championship and compete for a national title in, in, in the, the, his first year in the big 10.

So, uh, just Dale has done an incredible job, such a great young name in our sport of college football.

And we're gonna be talking about him for a long, long time.

Adam think about what it takes to win at the highest level.

Right.

You gotta have a coach that you believe is going to stick around for a long time.

I think Lanning has shown that that's gonna be him.

You gotta have facilities.

I've seen those Oregon facilities up close and personal.

They are insane.

You gotta have a name, image like this collective at some point.

We all know that they've got that Nike money just filling the coffers, right?

Like when you look at the things that it takes to be successful, long term in college football, there isn't a single box that isn't checked off by Oregon and that's why I think you're right.

This isn't just about right now.

Like Oregon has made the move to the big 10 and I think they're about to make the big 10, their conference for the next decade like that.

That's, that's staggering to think how big this is for Oregon, how big it is for West Coast football.

I I'm with you on every portion of this and Adam, you bring up that.

You think Dan Lanning is gonna be in Oregon for a, a long time.

And I agree because why would he leave?

There was a lot of speculation about his name being in consideration for the Alabama opening this past season, I can't confirm nor deny.

But if he was, and let's say they were getting in conversations and he didn't leave Oregon to go to Tuscaloosa, which I think it's fair to say is one of the best jobs in all of college football then.

Where else would he for?

Where else would he leave?

He's got all the money in the world.

Nike money runs deep, y'all like he's got all the money in the world.

He's at Oregon, which is a massive brand in college football.

You can tap into some of those West coast recruiting channels.

Like I, I think that it is a great place to be and to stay and to kind of solidify yourself as a legacy coach at Oregon.

I think one of the most impressive things that I've seen from Dan Lanning so far this season wasn't this week.

And obviously, you know, throttling a big 10 opponent by 30 points.

Like that's a statement against an Illinois team.

That's really sound everywhere.

They don't make very many mistakes.

It was last week against Purdue, shutting Purdue out 35 nothing following up a massive and emotional win over Ohio State the way that Dan Lanning's been able to keep this team focused and I think that Oregon's gotten better week over week, over week, that now Oregon's very much so looking like the national title contender that I think we expected preseason, but maybe kind of wavered on after a couple of close calls early in the season.
