Olympics 2024 LIVE: Matt Richards wins stunning silver in swimming after Tom Pidcock takes mountain bike gold

Matt Richards was narrowly denied a gold medal by David Popovici in a thrilling freestyle final at the Olympics after a thrilling day at Paris 2024.

A magic Monday for Team GB saw them claim their first gold of Paris 2024 in the team eventing competition at lunchtime on day three. And there was a second gold medal to come in thrilling fashion in the men’s mountain bike, with Tom Pidcock overcoming a puncture to defend his Olympic title.

There were high hopes that Richards could join them in the 200m freestyle and the youngster, appearing in his first individual Olympic final, looked perfectly placed with five metres to go. But the fast-finishing Popovici somehow got the touch, leaving the Brit to second for silver with teammate Duncan Scott cruelly confined to fourth.

Earlier, flagbearer Tom Daley and Noah Williams had also secured silver in the men’s synchronised 10m diving final on Monday morning, edged out by a masterclass from the pair from China. Elsewhere on Day Three of the Games, one of the biggest clashes of the Olympics took place in the tennis, where Novak Djokovic defeated his great rival Rafael Nadal 6-1 6-4 in a sensational second-round clash in the men’s singles. Delicious Orie suffers shock defeat as Britain’s boxing woes continue

Monday 29 July 2024 22:05 , Paul Martin in Paris

Delicious Orie’s Olympic dreams went up in smoke as Britain’s great super-heavyweight hope became the latest to suffer a controversial exit at the North Paris Arena.

The 27-year-old dubbed ‘the next Anthony Joshua’ was seeded second in his weight division and appeared to be Team GB’s best chance of a boxing medal.

But the verdict of the judges in the last-16 bout against Davit Chaloyan went against him as he became the fourth British boxer to fall at the first hurdle.

Olympics 2024: Rugby sevens - Australia crush Ireland to cruise into semi-finals

Monday 29 July 2024 21:54 , Harry Latham-Coyle

Another exhibition of rugby sevens from Australia, the favourites for women’s gold with an array of athletes that no other side can really rival. From the Levi sisters to Charlotte Caslick, seeking a second Olympic title after being part of the squad that won in Rio, they just have too many gamebreakers, as Ireland have just found out in a 40-7 quarter-final demolition job.

That completes the semi-final line-up for the Stade de France tomorrow evening:

The Stade de France is stunned into silence - France’s women are OUT of the rugby sevens, beaten in thrilling fashion by Canada in a captivating quarter-final. Chloe Daniels’ late try snatched victory for Canada to puncture the atmosphere in front of what may well be a record crowd for any game of women’s rugby.

That’s a cracking win for Canada, who had hoped to field Sophie de Goede - maybe the best 15-a-side player in the world - at these Olympics before a torn ACL scuppered her hopes. They join New Zealand and the United States in the last four, with Australia and Ireland vying for the last semi-final place.

Team GB narrowly miss out on gymnastics medal as Max Whitlock takes positives

Monday 29 July 2024 21:18 , Harry Latham-Coyle

Max Whitlock delivered a timely reminder that he is ready to end his glittering gymnastics career on a golden high despite the agony of a fourth-place finish in the Olympic men’s team final in Paris.

The double defending pommel champion delivered a top-scoring routine of 15.266 in the opening rotation of the evening, which culminated in Japan edging favourites China for gold after a dramatic high bar finale.

Whitlock’s score was higher than the 15.2 achieved by Ireland’s Rhys McClenaghan and Stephen Nedoroscik of the US in qualifying, and re-stated the 31-year-old’s potential to claim an historic third straight gold on the apparatus on Saturday.

Daiki Hashimoto’s redemption wins Japan dramatic gymnastics gold as China collapse in final round

Monday 29 July 2024 21:07 , Jamie Braidwood in Paris

As Daiki Hashimoto crossed his hands on the pommel horse, in a routine he had practiced countless times to the point of perfection, the defending Olympic champion in the individual all-around felt his grip loosen. From a golden Olympics in Tokyo three years ago, Hashimoto’s return to Paris was quickly turning into a nightmare. Having crashed out in qualifying for the horizontal bar final on Saturday, surrendering the defence of one of his individual titles, another slip looked to have cost Japan in their bid for all-around team gold. By the halfway stage, the eight-time champions were fifth, lagging behind China.

Olympics 2024: Mollie O’Callaghan smashes Olympic record to win 200m freestyle!

Monday 29 July 2024 21:02 , Harry Latham-Coyle

The women’s 200m freestyle still hasn’t been defended - Mollie O’Callaghan stuns Ariarne Titmus with a flying final length to take gold and her teammate’s Olympic record!

More than a second down on Titmus’ world record, but a 1:53.27 is still a staggering time in a slow pool. The thought was that it would be the 400m Olympic champion that would close the stronger, yet it’s O’Callaghan who had the kick that her compatriot simply couldn’t match.

Orie lands a big right-hand from the inside on Chaloyan who wants to impose himself on this final round. Orie is countering well with a few nice combos but Chaloyan is landing blows.

One more final tonight in at La Defense Arena, and the DJ can probably start to rifle through the records and retrieve “Advance Australia Fair” for the medal ceremony. Ariarne Titmus, looking to secure a remarkable 200/400 freestyle double double, and compatriot Mollie O’Callaghan produced one of the great duels in the pool at the Australian Olympic trials earlier this year, both shattering the exisiting world record as Titmus snatched victory.

But O’Callaghan bested Titmus at the World Championships last year. This could be special.

“I can’t really ask for anything more than winning a medal at the Olympics,” McSharry says having joined triple Olympic champion Michelle Smith as the only Irish swimmers to medal at a Games. “I’m not even sure that little me dreaming of even going to the Olympics thought was possible.

“It’s so tough. It doesn’t always come together in a perfect race, and I wouldn’t say that was a perfect race. But the goal tonight was to beat the other competitors in the pool. I’ve got quite a number of people here supporting, which is amazing. Hopefully later we can catch up and enjoy this moment. We missed that in Tokyo.”

Another crackerjack of a final and Tatjana Smith just nicks it! The South African wraps a sobbing Mona McSharry in a tight embrace - but they are tears of joy because the Irishwoman has done it, edging Lilly King for the bronze.

Tang Qianting looked to have it having gone out incredibly fast, but couldn’t quite hold on. She very nearly lost silver, too, an awful finish meaning she’s fortunate to medal at all.

A smashing swim from Thomas Ceccon, adding Olympic gold to that world title. 52 seconds dead from the Italian, peaking at the right time with a properly quick 100 back after a couple of leaner years. He absolutely stormed it down the second 50 metres, burning past Ryan Murphy, who had led from a long way out.

Xu Jiayu also managed to pip the American, who looks rather disappointed with another bronze. A solid enough effort from Oliver Morgan (52.84) even in eighth, making his first final at an Olympics and not far off his own national record.

A real shame for Duncan Scott, that, one of swimming’s nicest guys missing out by the finest of margins. The final will be formed of just four countries: Katharine Berkoff (USA) and Iona Anderson join their compatriots as the four fastest, with Canada’s Kylie Masse and Ingrid Wilm live medal contenders, too. In Canadian phenom Summer McIntosh, the Olympic Games has a new superstar

Monday 29 July 2024 20:12 , Lawrence Ostlere at La Defense Arena

Summer McIntosh ripped her hat off and began celebrating, punching the air, pointing to her family and breaking into the smile that is going to become forever entwined with the Olympic Games over the next decade. And as she did so, soaking up the moment, she barely seemed to notice that some of her rivals in the 400m medley final were still finishing the race.

The 17-year-old could well be the next phenomenon of Olympic sport, a figure to rival Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps in popularity. She is already the present and future of swimming, and this dominant gold was likely just the start with three more individual events to come.

“Fourth is still a high position in the world and we can take a lot of positivity from that.

Monday 29 July 2024 19:55 , Harry Latham-Coyle

“It seems that way,” Matt Richards tells the BBC when asked if the Brits are cursed after another agonising silver. “I can’t be too disappointed with that, it’s my first individual final at an Olympic Games and to walk away with a silver is fantastic.

“Obviously two one hundredths off gold is excrutiatingly frustrating. But, if anything, it has added more fire to my belly. I’ve got a lot more to go this week. I’m gutted for Duncan just missing out on a medal, he deserves it more than anyone, but that bodes really well for our 4x200 [freestyle relay, which headlines tomorrow’s action].

“It felt like I touched first. I thought I had got it. It wasn’t my best finish, I’d be lying if I said it was fantastic, but it felt like I’d done enough. It’s not a sport where there is debate, though, it’s black and white.”

It was, of course, by that same margin that Adam Peaty missed out on gold last night - another near miss for Team GB as the search for a first swimming gold of the Games goes on. But that is an excellent swim from Matt Richards from lane one.

McIntosh was able to totally ease up on the freestyle leg in the heats this morning, not really using her legs down the final 50 to save rucial energy in a busy programme. Now it’s time to see what she can really do...

Still, that shouldn’t detract from a fine achievement from the 20-year-old, who has an outside shot at a medal here from lane six. She’s got teammate Katie Shanahan for company in the green room.

With respect to the other swimmers in the field, and particularly the Americans Emma Weyant and Katie Grimes, this first final should be the Summer McIntosh show. The 400 IM is the teenage sensation’s best event and one in which she holds the world record, lowering her best time at the Canadian trials earlier this year. Can she push close to that 4:24.38? This pool hasn’t been the quickest so far, but you’d expect Katinka Hosszu’s Olympic record from Rio 2016 (two seconds slower than McIntosh’s world record) to fall...

Japan win gold in men’s gymnastics final

Monday 29 July 2024 19:11 , Jamie Braidwood

JAPAN WIN GOLD! JAPAN ARE CHAMPIONS!

There are tears everywhere. China are devastated. They win silver, but they blew gold!

Weide Su, who fell twice on the high bar, is distraught.

There is redemption, meanwhile, for Daiki Hashimoto, who turns another potential nightmare into joy.

USA claim bronze - a huge result for them. Team GB just missed out and are fourth. They left themselves too much to do on the floor.

What a final!

An extraordinary story in the men’s gymnastics final. It’s a 14.566 for Daiki Hashimoto, who has done all he can.

It’s all eyes on Boheng Zhang for China. But 14.733 is not enough!

This has got very exciting. Suddenly, it’s the Olympic champion Daiki Hashimoto, who will go for gold in the event in which he fell on just two days ago.

What a story this could be. It could be redemption for Hashimoto... and it’s a stunning routine! A double twist to finish! The Japan team look so emotional after that!

But China still have the highest qualifier in the high bar, Boheng Zhang to come!

Elsewhere, Stephen Nedoroscik has pulled out a 14.866 on the horse, I think that may secure bronze... Jake Jarman has done all he can, scoring 14.966 on the floor, but that will not be good enough to medal.

Luke Whitehouse, the European champion on the floor, flips and twists to a very sold routine. 14.500. GB will need more from Jarman to close the gap to bronze.

There’s a fall for China on the high bar! Weide Su slips during his routine, losing his grip.

Su gets back on, but then falls again! My goodness, this could cost China the gold medal!

The China team come together and stand as one.... let’s see this score, it’s an agonising wait for the leaders.

11.600!!! That puts Japan above China with one more performance each!

It’ll be either French pair Ugo Humbert and Arthur Fils or the experienced Belgian doubles duo Sander Gillé and Joran Vliegen for Murray and Evans in the second round tomorrow evening.

They will follow Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal on court.

A dazzling opening on the performance from Takaaki Sugino on the high bar, which may be enough to secure silver for Japan at least. They will close the gap on China slightly, after Ruoteng Xiao took a heavy step on landing. The fight for gold is on!

One of the loudest cheers of the night is for the USA’s Paul Juda after landing his horse routine... The screaming “let’s gooo” from his team-mates accompany ever move. It’s a 13.900 for him.

Harry Hepworth is up first for Team GB on the floor, and he scores 14.700! A good start for Team GB, closing the gap to bronze.

Olympics 2024: Tonight’s swimming session

Monday 29 July 2024 18:48 , Mike Jones

Team GB look for medals in tonight’s swimming session.

Freya Colbert and Katie Shanahan go first in the women’s 400m IM, but they’ll have their work cut out against Canada’s 17-year-old superstar Summer McIntosh who is looking for her first gold in Paris after silver in the 400m freestyle.

Tom Dean was the men’s 200m freestyle gold medalist in Tokyo, but he couldn’t qualify this year in Paris, instead Matt Richards, last year’s world champion, and the silver medalist in Tokyo, Duncan Scott, look to take down the favourite in David Popivici of Romania.

Elsewhere, Oliver Morgan is participating in the men’s 100m backstroke final with Angharad Evans battling in the women’s 100m breastroke final.

Onto the horitzontal bar for Team GB now, with Max Whitlock, Jake Jarman and Joe Fraser in action. Whitlock and Jarman’s scores aren’t going to get GB back into medal position, but there is still Fraser to come. Fraser’s is the highest, but with 13.633, so GB will be losing ground on the competition.

China are pulling away with a brilliant parallel bar rotation, with Zhang Boheng scoring 15.100 and Zou Jingyaun... WOW, a 16.000 and the performance of the night so far from Zou. That’s a huge roar in the arena as that is read out. It’s strong from Japan on the parallel bars too. This is the event that makes a big difference and Japan are back into the medal positions.

With one more rotation to go, here are the standings: China surely have gold wrapped up, but there’s a battle for bronze. Team GB will be on the floor, where they will need a big performance from Jake Jarman.

1) China - 219.296

2) Japan - 216.029

3) USA - 215.327

4) Ukraine - 213.529

5) Great Britain - 211.361

Adam Burgess, a silver medallist in the canoe slalom, spoke with Matthew Pinsent following the medal ceremony.

He was asked how long he’d dreamt about calling himself an Olympic medallist to whciih he replied:

“Since I was 10 years old. It was what I was thinking about in the start pool – I wanted to do that kid proud and go out there and give it my all and here we are.

“Obviously it was a big part of my story to go again [after finishing fourth at Tokyo 2020] and earn the spot to come to Paris.

“But very much this was its own story – races always unfold differently. I didn’t want that in my mind and be in the present moment. Focus on my job today and just get on the podium.”

Meet the 40-year-old from Leeds who waited three decades to live his Olympic dream

Monday 29 July 2024 18:23 , Mike Jones

Gary Hunt gave up on his Olympic dreams in his early 20s after losing a competition to 12-year-old Tom Daley and 11-year-old Jack Laugher.

But now, three decades after he first took up the sport and having established himself as the greatest cliff diver of all time, Hunt finally fulfilled his Olympic dream – and in front of a home crowd at Paris 2024 to boot.

The 40-year-old was born in Leeds, where he started diving before later moving to Southampton at the age of 16.

He was good enough to represent Team England at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, but when Daley and Laugher, a decade his junior, got the better of him, he realised that the next generation had already surpassed what he could do.

A calf injury isn’t going to slow down Simone Biles. The American gymnastics star is in the lineup for all four events during Tuesday night’s Olympic team finals.

Biles tweaked her left calf while warming up for floor exercise during qualifying on Sunday. She retreated briefly to have the calf taped but then returned and posted the top scores on floor and vault on her way to topping the all-around.

Team GB’s turn on the parallel bars, which is not their strongest area. Max Whitlock and Jake Jarman are first up, and while the former smiles after landing a double-twist on dismount they will be slipping behind after this rotation. Joe Fraser needs a big score, and while 14.633 is Team GB’s best on the bars, it’s nothing compared to Ukraine.

They are the big winners of the fourth rotation, led by Illia Kovtun’s sensational routine. Japan have managed to cut China’s lead on the vault, with Su Weide falling forward on landing in China’s final effort and only scoring a 12.766. While USA keep ahold of third place after a brilliant horizontal bar from Frederick Richard. They are pumped up.

It’s very close now among the top five.

1) China - 173.463

2) Ukraine - 173.030

3) USA - 172.528

4) Japan - 171.664

Olympics 2024: Peaty in contention for relays despite positive Covid test

Monday 29 July 2024 18:01 , Mike Jones

Earlier today Team GB confirmed that swimmer Adam Peaty returned a positive test for Covid-19 this morning having agonisingly been beaten to gold in the men’s men’s 100m breaststroke yesterday.

The six-time Olympic medallist is due to compete in relay events later this evening but his involvement is now uncertain. The 4x100m mixed medley takes place on Friday and Saturday with the men’s 4x100m medley relay on Saturday and Sunday.

Team GB are yet to make a decision on whether Peaty will be involved over the weekend and provided BBC Sport with a statement that reads:

“Swimmers can be changed from heats to finals. In terms of those relays at the end of the week, no teams are pre-selected or finalised until the day of the event.

“Adam has been a regular member of both of those relays across recent Olympics and World Championships when competing.”

Team GB land double Olympic medal joy as ‘the real stars of eventing’ shine

Monday 29 July 2024 17:42 , James Toney in Paris

Much of Versaille’s gilded grandeur was made during the 1789 French Revolution but it was Great Britain who snatched the gold from under French noses at their Olympics.

Laura Collett praised her prince of a horse as he delivered another Olympic team title - and individual bronze - in the garden of France’s famous Sun King at Paris 2024.

Louis XIV’s palace seems the fitting venue for Team GB to make the top of the podium for the first time in Paris, meaning they remain the only nation that has won a gold medal at every Olympics dating back to 1896.

Not the start Team GB wanted in the vault. Luke Whitehouse lands on his hands and knees after not getting the height he wanted on launch, unable to make the required turns. He gets a -0.3 penalty and means Team GB have work to do to catch up in this rotation, with Jake Jarman, the world champion on the vault, and Harry Hepworth to come.

But the response is excellent, from both. First Jarman lands a sensational three-and-a-half twist on the vault. 15.266! That’s followed by a 14.966 from Harry Hepworth. Damage limitation for Team GB, and they are up to third!

China, though, are moving out in front. Liu Yang completed a masterclass on the rings, earning a 15.500 - the highest we’ve seen so far.

Here are the overall totals as we reach the halfway mark.

1) China - 131.364

2) USA - 130.163

3) Great Britain - 128.429

4) Ukraine - 128.231

5) Japan - 128.231

6)Canada - 126.397

7) Italy - 126.197

8) Switzerland - 124.529

Comprehensive. An outstanding performance from Australia to make it two wins from two in Group B, leaving Great Britain with it all to do to make the quarter-finals. Harry Hepworth roars after landing a strong performance in the rings, Team GB’s highest mark of the three with a 14.800. Rings are Hepworth’s strong area, and that’s superb showing on his first Olympics appearance. That increases Team GB’s total to 85.164.

But there is more drama around Japan’s star, and defending all-around individual champion Daiki Hashimoto, who slips off the horse during his routine! Hashimoto gets back up and finishes to record a 13.100 - but that’s a blow for Japan, and another mistake from Hashimoto - who also fell from his horizontal bar routine.

There’s been a shift in the standings though. The United States have stormed into the lead following the vault. Team GB have dropped down to fifth after the second rotation. The USA have been pumped up by the performances of Asher Hong, who is a bundle of energy and screamed ‘let’s goooo’ after landing his vault.

1) USA - 86.764

2) China - 86.098

3) Japan - 85.598

Great Britain 0-2 Australia

This is just bedlam from GB. It’s disorganised defensively allowing Australia to run the ball into the circle. When in possession they seem wobbly and unconvincing.

As the second quarter heads to a close, Australia win consecutive penalty corners. The second of which results in a third goal... but it goes to an umpire referral who spots an Australian foot in the build up.

The goal is chalked off. Big reprieve for GB.

Tom Pidcock has been speaking in a press conference after collecting his gold medal for winning the men’s mountain-bike.

He said: “I think it’s definitely my most emotionally draining victory. The build-up was such a long time in my head. The waiting all week, the training, it all builds up and then you’re on the start line. To deal with that takes so much energy and focus, it’s really difficult.

“Since winning [in Tokyo] I have wanted to come back and defend my title. I went in as an outsider, it’s totally different to come in and defend a title, to have that pressure, that expectation. It’s a completely different challenge, much harder I think.”

Monday 29 July 2024 15:59 , Mike Jones

Adam Peaty’s hopes of adding more medals to his individual breaststroke silver at Paris 2024 have been thrown into doubt after the Team GB swimmer tested positive for Covid-19.

Peaty narrowly missed out on an historic gold in the 100 metres breaststroke, denied a treble by just two hundredths of a second as Nicolo Martinenghi got the touch to take victory.

Speaking afterwards, the 29-year-old suggested that he had woken up with a slightly scratchy throat, and his symptoms worsened in the hours after winning silver.

Former medal winning gymnast Louis Smith spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast and claimed that Team GB’s men have a good chance of taking bronze in this evening’s final.

He said: “I hope there is the possibility of a bronze medal today in the men’s team event. We picked up a historic team bronze in London 2012 and we have just missed out in the last two Olympic Games trying to get that bronze medal back again.

“Jake Jarman, Max Whitlock, Luke Whitehouse, Harry Hepworth and Joe Fraser are the boys who are going to go out today.

“Judging by their qualification event they are in the shape of their life, they look incredible, such good team morale, they are out there smiling and fist pumping so they are up for it and it just looks like a very competent team.

“You’ve got Joe who is in his peak and Max has maintained his peak. He is 31 years old now. With the likes of Harry, Jake and Luke, they are the young ones of the team but they are still very capable.

“You just get filled with confidence when you watch them so I’m really excited to see how they perform. All to play for for that bronze medal.”

South Africa have just scored their first try and taken a 7-0 lead over Great Britain and won a penalty.

Great Britain had been camped inside their own 22 and spilled the ball just as they were trying to make their way up the pitch.

But South Africa have a second try after winning the ball back from that British mistake. It was a missed conversion.

In the final move before the half-time break, Britain have their first attack and first try of the game! That could be so important going into the second half, unlike South Africa, Team GB secure the conversion.

It’s 12-7 to the Spingboks at half time.

Olympics 2024: Tom Pidcock cements place among great British Olympians with dramatic mountain bike gold

Monday 29 July 2024 15:30 , Mike Jones

Three hundred and twenty-eight other gold medals will be handed out at these Paris Games, and surely none will be won as dramatically as this. Tom Pidcock lost the race to a puncture, won it back, then lost it again to the determined Frenchman Victor Koretzky before pulling off a do-or-die overtake around a tree to defend his Olympic title.

It was a superhuman display of racing. On the third of eight 4.4km laps, Pidcock was forced to stand still for half a minute while a frazzled mechanic changed his punctured front tyre and rivals whizzed by. He lost 36 seconds in all but soon began picking them off, one by one. Koretzky had watched Pidcock’s race dismantle firsthand as he took the lead, so what must he have thought when he turned a hairpin four laps and 40 minutes later to see Pidcock reincarnated?

Pidcock also spoke to BBC Sport after defending his Olympic title saying: “It wasn’t easy. I knew that Victor was going to be fast in the last lap even if I couldn’t get rid of him.

“I knew it was going to be a big fight, and he left a gap and I had to take it. That’s racing. I know people might view it differently but sport is about not giving up. It is a shame that the French were booing me but you know.”

On the puncture he added: “You are all used to things going well so even my mechanic wasn’t ready for it. He did a super fast change in the end, my bike was perfect apart from my mistake of puncturing.

“I can’t thank everyone enough. From being on tour and then Covid too, everyone was around me and we trained perfectly for this.”

Solid as you like from Adam Burgess in the C1 canoe slalom up in Vaires-sur-Marne, a controlled semi-final run ensuring safe progress through. He’s fourth fastest into the final, which begins in about an hour.

The National Olympic Nautical Stadium is positively hopping, though, with home home Nicolas Gestin producing a scintillating performance to top the times by almost four seconds.

Olympics 2024: Pidcock wins mountain-bike gold

Here are the thoughts from gold medal winner Tom Piddcock who said:

“I think this week, the build-up to the Olympics, there are so many things going through your head like emotions and scenarios and by the time you get to the starting line you’re a bit knackered as it is.

“It was all going pretty well, I knew Victor [Koretzky] would be strong here, I knew that it wouldn’t be easy today. The puncture happened and Bruno wasn’t ready in the pits but he did a fast change and at that point I had almost five laps, that’s 50 minutes so I thought anything is possible.

“Suddenly I was coming fast back to Victor but I couldn’t get rid of him. I knew how fast he is on the last lap and you know in the end I just had to go for a gap. Rubbings racing is what I’ve always done and the Olympics is no different. I’m sorry for him, the support for him was incredible.

“But this is the Olympics, you’ve got to go all in.”

Monday 29 July 2024 15:02 , Sonia Twigg

Laura Collett spoke to BBC Sport after claiming bronze in the individual eventing: “I never thought this day would come, I owe absolutely everything to that horse, the team that have made it possible.

“I’m so lucky that I get to ride out into an arena like that and run out with a team gold and an individual bronze medal, and I just want to say thank you to them.”

“It’s so many years of hard work and blood, sweat and tears and emotional rollercoaster doesn’t do it justice, but a day like today makes everything worth it.”
