Ole Miss football vs Georgia Southern score prediction, scouting report for Week 4

Ole Miss football's attention turns to Georgia Southern with the Rebels riding a recent history of domination.

The No. 5 Rebels (3-0) will host Georgia Southern on Saturday (6:45 p.m. CT, SEC Network). The Rebels have handily won each of their three games, utilizing a dominant defense and elite quarterback play from Jaxson Dart. Georgia Southern, a 2-1 team from the Sun Belt Conference, will be the Rebels' final challenger before SEC play.

Here's what to watch for between the Rebels and the Eagles in Week 4:

Can JC French end Ole Miss' touchdown shutout streak?

Ole Miss has yet to surrender a touchdown. It's a point of pride among the defensive unit.

The Eagles, and specifically quarterback JC French, have been tough to slow down. Georgia Southern is averaging 36.3 points. Against their best opponent, Boise State, the Eagles racked up 461 yards in 56-45 shootout loss.

Most of the offense runs through French. He has averaged 37 passes per game. He is also dual threat. French scored an 11-yard rushing touchdown on a read option play against Boise State.

Ole Miss' defensive line has feasted. The Rebels are No. 3 in the nation in tackles for loss (30) so the Eagles offensive line buying French time in the pocket will be key.

Ole Miss' Henry Parrish could have a monster day

The bar is set high for running backs against Georgia Southern.

When the Eagles played Boise State in Week 1, Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty had 267 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. While Jeanty is projected as a potential first-round NFL draft pick, Ole Miss' Henry Parrish could create similar results.

Parrish is averaging 7.7 yards per carry and has rushed for 298 yards and six touchdowns over the past two games. He could break off some long gains against the Eagles defense that has allowed an average of 169.5 rushing yards in its last two games.

Will Ole Miss' Jaxson Dart play an entire game?

Due to the sizable margins of victory, Rebels quarterback Jaxson Dart has yet to play an entire game.

It hasn't stopped him from leading the nation in passing. Dart has thrown for 1,172 passing yards, which beats out Miami (Florida) quarterback Cameron Ward (1,035) and TCU's Josh Hoover 1,022 for the top spot.

Dart said he was focused on his mistakes after last Saturday's game at Wake Forest. Although the Rebels won 40-6, he lost a fumble and threw an interception.

Ole Miss score prediction vs Georgia Southern

Ole Miss 50, Georgia Southern 6: There's a good chance Ole Miss overwhelms the Eagles early and coasts to another blowout victory. Coach Lane Kiffin's main complaint after the game may yet again be that some Rebels fans in attendance didn't wait for the final kneeldowns to leave.
