Ole Miss football breaks attendance record against Georgia Southern

OXFORD −Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin has pushed a "Come to the Sip" mantra. It seems to be working.

Ole Miss broke its attendance record on Saturday night in a game against Georgia Southern. Ole Miss athletics reported a crowd of 67,505 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

The previous record was established last year when the Rebels hosted LSU. A reported 66,703 fans attended that game. Before that the record was established when Ole Miss hosted Alabama in 2016.

Earlier in the week, Ole Miss reported all home games were sold out for the 2024 season.

Kiffin has chided Ole Miss fans for leaving games early. The Rebels have had three blowout victories to open their season.
