Oklahoma State women's basketball lands Rylee Langerman in transfer from Arkansas

Former Christian Heritage Academy standout Rylee Langerman announced Tuesday that she will transfer from Arkansas to Oklahoma State.

Langerman, who was The Oklahoman's Little All-City girls basketball player of the year in 2020, played in 82 games and averaged 2.5 points per game across three seasons with the Razorbacks.

She was their most used bench player last season, appearing in all 37 games and averaging 17.6 minutes per game. She also averaged 3.5 rebounds and nearly a steal per game, gaining attention from Hogs coach Mike Neighbors for her impactful plays that didn't always show up in the box score.

The Cowgirls are coming off a 21-win season and NCAA Tournament appearance in Jacie Hoyt's debut as Cowgirls head coach.

Langerman, a 5-foot-9 guard, is OSU's second addition from the transfer portal, along with former North Texas standout Quincy Noble. The Cowgirls now have nine of their 15 scholarships spoken for.

“Rylee is the type of player and person who coaches dream of coaching. Her work ethic is off the charts and she’s a great teammate. She’s going to bring a tenacity on defense that our fans will love,” Hoyt said in a release.

“With all that being said, I believe her best basketball is still ahead of her. She has been an incredible ambassador for many things in her career in the SEC and I’m proud to say that she will be someone who represents everything we want to stand for at Oklahoma State and more. She’s one of Oklahoma’s finest and we can’t wait to have her back home!”

OSU has lost four players from last season's team to the transfer portal: Lexy Keys (who transferred to OU), Taylen Collins (Auburn), Macie James (UNLV) and Makyra Tramble (Oral Roberts).
