Oklahoma State softball: Tracking Cowgirls' arrivals, departures via transfer portal

STILLWATER — While Kenny Gajewski built the foundation of his Oklahoma State softball program on grassroots recruiting at the high school level, he has supplemented it well with additions from the transfer portal.

Now coming off a 47-16 season, the Cowgirls are entering the transfer market to replace five starters from the regular lineup. Their primary holes are up the middle, with vacated jobs at catcher, the middle infield and center field.

Here’s a look at the incoming and outgoing players via the transfer portal for OSU softball:

Macy Graf, infielder (Mississippi State)

Originally from Aledo, Texas, Graf played in 40 games with 30 starts as a freshman last season. Most of her starts came at third base, with a few at second, while regularly batting at the top of the order. She batted .291 with a .450 on-base percentage and scored 22 runs. Defensively, she made four errors (.956 fielding percentage).

Caroline Hudson, catcher (Liberty)

A two-time Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Year, Hudson has started 206 games, almost exclusively behind the plate, over the previous four seasons. She also led the team with a .636 slugging percentage and walked 27 times. For her career, she has 35 homers, 135 RBIs and 74 total extra-base hits. She was a crucial part of the 2023 Flames squad that earned the program’s first-ever at-large berth into the NCAA Tournament, eventually eliminating second-seeded UCLA on its home field. A native of Paris, Tennessee, Hudson’s father and grandfather both played in the NFL.

Jil Poullard, outfielder (McNeese State)

Primarily an outfielder in her four seasons at McNeese, Poullard has a career batting average of .320 with 13 home runs and 73 RBIs.
