Oklahoma State softball run-rules Yale behind five RBI from freshman Karli Godwin
Karli Godwin drove in five runs and the seventh-ranked Oklahoma State softball team cruised to a 10-1 run-rule win Friday against Yale in the South Florida Showdown in Tampa, Fla.
The Cowgirls (11-2) scored six runs in the fifth inning to end the day early against the Bulldogs (0-2).
Caroline Wang went 2-for-3 with a home run, while Tallen Edwards and Claire Timm each scored three times for OSU.
Katie Kutz (2-0) scattered three hits with four strikeouts to earn the win.
OSU will face Pittsburgh at 8 a.m. Saturday and turn around for a 10:30 a.m. game against Loyola Chicago.
