Some Oklahoma State football game times set, including early starts for Arkansas, Colorado
STILLWATER — When the conference alignment shifted across college football and broadcast agreements adjusted to the new landscape, it was anticipated that Oklahoma State might be in line for a few more 11 a.m. kickoffs.
Thursday’s news suggests the anticipation was accurate.
The Cowboys have been slotted into a trio of 11 a.m. starts already — including the Black Friday game at Colorado, according to the information released by the Big 12 Conference on Thursday.
The Cowboys and Buffaloes will lead off the day after Thanksgiving in what will actually be a 10 a.m. start in Boulder on Nov. 29, televised on ABC.
Also, the renewal of the OSU-Arkansas series will get an 11 a.m. start on ABC from Boone Pickens Stadium in the second week of the season, and OSU's trip to Tulsa the following week will kick off at 11 a.m. on ESPN2.
OSU had just one 11 a.m. kickoff last season, the Big 12 Championship Game.
The Cowboys also learned that their Friday, Oct. 19 game at BYU will begin at 9:15 p.m. Oklahoma time, set for an ESPN broadcast. While no kickoff time was set for OSU's season opener against visiting South Dakota State, the game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
