NORMAN — OU secured a commitment from Florida State transfer kicker Tyler Keltner on Thursday.

Keltner is a redshirt senior who spent the first four seasons of his career as East Tennessee State, where he made 56 of 74 field-goal attempts and earned two All-SoCon second team selections. He then spent this season at Florida State, where he appeared in one game and converted on a lone PAT.

Keltner entered the transfer portal on Dec. 11. He now has a chance to compete for playing time right away at OU, which struggled in the kicking department this season.

Redshirt junior Zach Schmit went 15 for 21 on field-goal attempts. OU ranked 11th in the Big 12 in made field-goal percentage (71.4%).
