Donovan Jackson is back for his senior season at Ohio State.
After starting each of the past two years at left guard, Jackson will return to the middle of the Buckeyes' offensive line in 2024 when Ohio State opens its season at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 31 against Akron on CBS.

In his two seasons as Ohio State's starting left guard, Jackson has been an All-Big Ten award winner.
In 2022 and 2023, Jackson was voted first-team All-Big Ten. In 2022, Jackson allowed two sacks and nine hurries per Pro Football Focus, and was first-team all-conference by the media. In 2023, Jackson was a unanimous first-team All-Big Ten recipient with one sack allowed and eight hurries.
Jackson has started Ohio State's last 26 games at left guard.

Jackson is Ohio State's most recent recruiting success story on the offensive line.
Jackson is Ohio State's most recent five-star offensive line signee. He joined the Buckeyes' 2021 recruiting class as the No. 19 player and the No. 1 interior offensive lineman in the class. Jackson held offers from programs such as Texas A&M, Stanford, Oregon, Alabama and LSU.
From 2022-24, Ohio State signed 10 four-stars and two three-stars on the offensive line.
Donovan Jackson is a Texas native
In 2021, Jackson, out of Bellaire, Texas was the fourth-ranked prospect out of the state behind quarterback Quinn Ewers, also an Ohio State commit, offensive tackle Tommy Brockermeyer (Alabama) and tight end Ja'Tavion Sanders (Texas).
Heading into the 2024 season, Ohio State has six Texas natives on its roster: Jackson, running back James Peoples, cornerback Calvin Simpson-Hunt, linebacker Payton Pierce, kicker Jayden Fielding and long snapper Morrow Evans.
