Ohio State football kicker Parker Lewis enters transfer portal

Ohio State kicker Parker Lewis put his name the NCAA transfer portal on Sunday, The Dispatch confirmed.

Lewis transferred from Southern California last year, but redshirted in 2022 and appeared in only game this season when he kicked off twice in a rout of Western Kentucky in September.

He competed to handle the placekicking duties this fall before sophomore Jayden Fielding prevailed in the preseason competition.

The portal does not open until Monday for undergraduate players seeking immediate eligibility, but Lewis entered as a graduate transfer.

Lewis has a strong leg and both of his kickoffs resulted in touchbacks. In his second season at USC, he made a 52-yard field goal at Arizona State.
