Leave the glass slipper and forget about the Cinderella story because the Oakland Golden Grizzlies have proven they are not just a fairytale team. The Golden Grizzles proclaimed that the only thing that sets them apart from any other team in the tournament is their seed. After beating third-seeded Kentucky on Thursday, Oakland, the No. 14 seed, will now faceoff against the No. 11 seed, North Carolina State, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

"You got to go out there and think you have the same talent level as them. I know they have draft picks, and I know I'm not going to the NBA, but I know on any night I can compete with those guys and our team can," Jack Gohlke said after the Kentucky game.

Gohlke sank 10 three-pointers to secure an 80-76 win and advance to the tournament's second round.

No. 11 seed North Carolina State caused a first-round upset after defeating No. 6 seed Texas Tech 80-67. Ben Middlebrooks scored a career-high 21 points in the Wolfpack's victory.

It's hard to see how Oakland wins a game without unsustainably hot shooting. They are a nice story, but it will likely end against NC State."
