Norvell flips tight end recruit from Georgia, lands highest ranked recruit as FSU coach
Mike Norvell has landed his biggest high school commitment as the head coach of Florida State football.
Five-star tight end Landen Thomas has flipped his commitment from Georgia to the Seminoles. Thomas was once committed to the Seminoles in 2021, but backed off the pledge and committed to the Bulldogs on July 7, 2022.
Thomas, who plays for Colquitt County in South Georgia, has visited Tallahassee in back-to-back weeks in April, including Saturday's Garnet & Gold Spring Showcase.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pounder is rated as the No. 25 overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting class and is the top-ranked tight end, according to 247Sports composite rankings. He is the fifth-ranked prospect in Georgia in the class.
