North Carolina lands four-star recruit in 2025 class
Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels have their second commitment in the 2025 recruiting class.
After landing a commitment from four-star Derek Dixon back in September, the Tar Heels landed another four-star recruit. On Saturday, Isaiah Denis pledged his verbal commitment to the Tar Heels, giving them their second recruit in the class.
Denis had a total of 25 offers in his recruitment, taking six visits including one to North Carolina back on September 28th. He eventually picked the Tar Heels over Wake Forest, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Miami.
Going into this decision day, it was tough to read who the true leader was in this recruitment with some believing it was a battle between Wake Forest, UNC and Ohio State. But he chose to stay in the state of North Carolina and commit to the Tar Heels.
The 6-foot-5, 175-pound Denis plays at Davidson Day High School in North Carolina. He's ranked No. 47 nationally, the No. 8 combo guard, and No. 2 player in the state of North Carolina per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.
The Tar Heels still have a few recruiting targets left on their board including Caleb Wilson and AJ Dybantsa. But it's tough to read where they land on both of those players as of now. With just two commitments, the Tar Heels would love to add more to this class before it's wrapped up.
