Austin Ekeler suffers hamstring injury
Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler suffered what appeared to be a serious hamstring injury against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While running the ball, Ekeler went down hard and came up on his knees, in obvious pain, grabbing at his left hamstring.

Ekeler needed to be taken back to the locker room in the cart and did not return.
After the Chargers’ 38-31 loss, coach Anthony Lynn said Ekeler’s injury “looked pretty bad,” but did not have an official diagnosis.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Ekeler sustained a hyperextended knee along with the hamstring injury. Ekeler is expected to receive an MRI on Monday and could miss an extended period of time.

Bucs fear O.J. Howard’s season is done
Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard left Sunday’s 38-31 win over the Los Angeles Chargers with an apparent Achilles injury. After the game, coach Bruce Arians said the team fears he suffered a ruptured Achilles’ tendon and could be out for the season.
“He was having a great, great game, and I thought (Tom Brady) was going to throw it to him for the touchdown when he threw it to Ke’Shawn (Vaughn) but it looks like he has a ruptured Achilles and will probably be done for the season,” Arians said, via the Tampa Bay Times.
Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans briefly left the game with an ankle injury, but was able to return and finished with seven receptions for 122 yards and a touchdown.
