NFL Week 9: 5 games to watch for Steelers fans during the bye week
Even though the Pittsburgh Steelers are on the bye week, there is plenty to keep an eye on in Week Nine of the NFL season. Pittsburgh is currently the No. 2 seed in the AFC and on top in the AFC North. The Steelers are also in the trade market for a wide receiver and how some of this weekend's games turn out, there could be some more players on the market ahead of the November 5 trade deadline.
Here are the five games we will be watching closely this weekend.
Washington Commanders @ New York Giants
The Giants currently sit at 2-6 and if they lose this week to the Washington Commanders, it could make wide receiver Darius Slayton expendable. Slayton has 29 receptions on the season which would be second-best on the Steelers.
Denver Broncos at Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are working hard to keep pace with the Steelers in the AFC North. Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix is improving every week and we will be rooting for them.
Miami Dolphins @ Buffalo Bills
This is a tough one because we want to see the Bills lose to keep the Steelers ahead of them in the AFC playoff picture, but a Dolphins loss could put them into sell mode and that might put wide receiver Jaylen Waddle on the market.
Los Angeles Rams @ Seattle Seahawks
Another game with trade implications. If Seattle loses and falls to 4-5, DK Metcalf might be an option but we like the idea of the Rams losing, dropping to 3-5 and selling off either Cooper Kupp, Demarcus Robinson or Tutu Atwell.
Las Vegas Raiders @ Cincinnati Bengals
This is another complicated one. We want to see the Bengals lose and create more space between them and the Steelers before they play them twice in the second half of the schedule. But a Raiders loss might open up Raiders receiver Jakobi Meyers as a trade option for the Steelers.
