The 2024 season is quite a meaningful one for Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, who is trying to shake off a horrendous rookie campaign.

Last year's No. 1 overall pick simply didn't live up to the billing, passing for just 179.8 yards per game and 11 touchdowns while leading the NFL's most futile offense. But with a new head coach in Dave Canales, a couple of huge investments on the offensive line and a few fresh weapons to throw to, the outlook for 2024 seems much brighter for the 23-year-old.

But, uh, it just got off to a pretty dark start in this afternoon's regular-season opener against the New Orleans Saints.

After watching his defense allow a 59-yard touchdown pass to quarterback Derek Carr and wide receiver Rashid Shaheed on the very first drive of the game, Young did this on his very first pass of the new year . . .

Instead of finding, well, whoever his target was, Young hit the hands of Saints cornerback Will Harris for an interception.

And, as expected, NFL fans over on Twitter/X let him have it . . .
