It took until the final seconds, but the Miami Dolphins picked up a signature win and clinched a playoff berth in the process on Sunday night.
The Dolphins edged out the Dallas Cowboys and kicked a game-winning field goal to grab a 22-20 win at Hard Rock Stadium. Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders, who hit three field goals from 50-yards earlier in the game, hit a 29-yard field goal as time expired to grab the two-point win.
The Cowboys rallied from a nine-point hole in the fourth quarter to keep it close late. The Cowboys took an early 7-3 lead in the first quarter after a 49-yard touchdown pass to CeeDee Lamb, but then the two teams got into a field goal battle until the fourth quarter.
After Brandon Aubrey hit a 33-yarder to cut the deficit to just six points, Prescott hit Brandin Cooks in the corner of the end zone to suddenly put Dallas up by a single point with just 3:27 left in the game. That score came on a 17-play drive, which was the Cowboys' longest of the year.
Dolphins lead 19-13 now early in the 4th after Brandon Aubrey hits another FG for the Cowboys.

The Cowboys' drive was extended after a questionable roughing the passer penalty, but the Dolphins get the stop regardless. Cowboys are set to punt with just under 8 minutes left in the half.
Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert got hurt on the last run, grabbed his lower left leg. He’s walking slowly to sidelines under his own power with trainers flanked to his side.
