The Cincinnati Bengals formulated the initial 53-man roster on Tuesday, with the word initial doing some seriously heavy lifting.

Those Bengals, after all, will now browse the waiver wire, free agency and perhaps even the trade block to make roster additions.

Any potential additions the Bengals make could join the active roster or fill one of the 16 slots on the practice squad, with veterans now able to join that list, too.

While things are fluid, here is a look at an ongoing list of cuts from around the NFL that the Bengals might want to consider adding in some capacity.

TE C.J. Uzomah, Jets

The perfect fit at the time of his tenure in Cincinnati, Uzomah isn't needed on the 53-man roster while they keep five players there already. But getting him back in the locker room via the practice squad could work.

RB Samaje Perine, Broncos

Welcome back? Perine should have never left, with both team and player doing worse since his departure. He'd be the third or fourth running back.

DE Khalid Kareem, Bears

Welcome back again? Kareem had problems staying healthy, yet the former Bengals draft pick could help the team currently crushed by injuries (Cam Sample, Myles Murphy) and even retirements (Jeff Gunter).

Edge Julian Okwara, Eagles

One analyst already suggested the Bengals should trade for Okwara. But he's been released, giving the team a chance to go get a player with some upside as a member of a rotation.

RB Matt Breida, 49ers

If the Bengals don't go and get anyone else to be that fourth running back, the 29-year-old Breida might be an interesting option. He's averaged 4.6 yards per carry for his career and is a proven receiver.

WR Terrace Marshall, Panthers

Marshall is a big name, former second-round pick and has that LSU connection. He couldn't make the lowly Panthers wideout depth chart, but perhaps he could develop as the sixth or seventh wideout, or even on the practice squad?

DE Carl Lawson, Cowboys

The former Bengals draft pick is out there again and available after a quick test run in Dallas. Given what he's shown as part of a rotation in the past, it wouldn't be the worst idea to see if he might even fit on the practice squad.
