NFL draft: Steelers trade up, select Ryan Shazier replacement Devin Bush No. 10

The Pittsburgh Steelers made the first trade of NFL draft weekend, moving up from No. 20 to No. 10 via a trade with the Denver Broncos.

And with the No. 10 pick, the Steelers chose Michigan linebacker Devin Bush Jr.

The winner for the most unique draft-night red carpet outfit, Bush is seen as the replacement for Ryan Shazier, who suffered a spinal injury on Dec. 4, 2017 against the Bengals. Shazier can walk again and says he wants to return to playing football, but that is not a given.

Bush has a great combination of speed, intensity and physicality and comes from a highly athletic family: his father, Devin Bush Sr., played in the NFL for eight years, and his sister plays softball at Florida State.

In order to move up 10 spots, the Steelers gave the Broncos their original pick at No. 20, as well as the No. 52 pick this year and a third-round pick in 2020.
