Why Bob Bradley should succeed at Swansea City
We are just seven games into the Premier League season and we have witnessed the first managerial casualty. Francesco Guidolin was relieved of his duties by Swansea City’s new American owners on Monday – on his birthday – and Bob Bradley has been brought in.
The former United States men’s national team coach is exploring unchartered waters, becoming the first American to manage in one of Europe’s top five leagues.

Bradley is highly suited to the role – particularly in comparison to a managerial novice like Ryan Giggs – but he will need to overcome Swansea’s culture of player power. He must also steer a team with relatively low talent levels away from the job – an arduous feat for any manager.
