The Philadelphia 76ers acquired big man Joel Anthony from the Houston Rockets on Thursday, league sources told The Vertical.

The Rockets also had to send the 76ers a second-round pick to take on the $5 million remaining on the last two years of Anthony’s contract.

Anthony, 33, was acquired by the Rockets from the Detroit Pistons in a three-player deal earlier Thursday.

Anthony has averaged 2.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 14. 8 minutes per game in his nine-year NBA career.
