Paul Pierce missed a dunk so badly that CP3 gave him CPR
The NBA often proves the old adage that Father Time is undefeated. Former stars and future Hall of Famers lose their athleticism with little warning, often resulting in sad displays where they try to execute mind-boggling plays and fail terribly. It can be a harsh awakening for both player and fan alike.

Los Angeles Clippers wing Paul Pierce has been at this stage of his career for several years and has already announced that this season will be his last. But that didn’t make this missed dunk in Tuesday night’s game at the Brooklyn Nets any harder to watch. Even Chris Paul’s attempt at mock CPR could only do so much for Pierce:

Sadly for the Clippers, Pierce’s funny moment gave way to much more serious problems later in the night. Brooklyn stormed back from down 16 points with 10:30 remaining in regulation to take the lead late in the fourth quarter before allowing Paul to force overtime with a three-pointer. A wild game went through several other twists and turns before the Nets pulled out a thrilling 127-122 win in the second extra period.
