Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly restrained during on-field brawl at brother's high school game (Video)
Ole Miss has a bye this week, so Rebels quarterback Chad Kelly returned home to his native Buffalo to watch his brother’s high school football game.

When his brother Casey, a quarterback for St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute (where Chad also played), took a late hit from a Bishop Timon-St. Jude defender, a brawl ensued. Chad came to the defense of his younger brother.
HUGE brawl just now at Timon/Joes. Casey Kelly hit late out of bounds, benches clear… Chad Kelly ran onto field and had to be restrained.

For context, fight started literally on top of Chad’s brother, Casey, who took late hit. Chad was on the field after shoving escalated.

According to reporters in attendance, Kelly charged onto the field and had to be restrained.

Even if he was coming to the defense of his brother, this isn’t a good look for Kelly, whose maturity has been questioned on a number of occasions in the past.
Kelly, a senior, was dismissed from Clemson in April 2014 but was given a second chance at the FBS level at Ole Miss following a season at East Mississippi Community College. His career at Ole Miss almost ended before it began when Kelly was arrested in Buffalo for an incident outside a bar.
Kelly reached a plea agreement and Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze allowed him to remain on the team. Kelly was named then named the Rebels’ starting quarterback before the 2015 season.
He has thrived on the field during his time in Oxford. He threw for 4,042 yards and 31 touchdowns while adding 500 yards and 10 scores rushing in 2015. Through five games this season, Kelly has thrown for 1,596 yards, 13 touchdowns and four interceptions with 124 yards and one score on the ground.
Ole Miss is 3-2 after beating Georgia and Memphis in its last two games. The Rebels return to the field next Saturday at Arkansas. In a statement released Friday night, Freeze said the situation will be addressed when Kelly returns to campus.
