Nebraska volleyball tramples Northwestern in sweep

The Nebraska volleyball team continued its road trip with a showdown against Northwestern. The Huskers swept the Wildcats (25-18, 25-15, 25-15) by controlling both sides of the net.

Nebraska racked up 39 kills off 94 attacks, seven service aces along with 40 digs and seven blocks to hold Northwestern to an attack percentage of .082.

Merritt Beason led the charge with nine kills off 14 attacks for a season-high percentage of .643. She and five other players also earned two blocks, with Andi Jackson being one of them. Jackson hit 8-of-11, making it 12 matches this season with an attack percentage of .500 or higher.

Bergen Reilly finished at .500, earning four kills off eight attacks to accompany her near-double-double performance. Reilly delivered a team-high 25 set assists and nine digs.

Nebraska improves to 22-1 on the season and 12-0 in conference play. Its road trip takes it west for the next couple of matches as it faces the Oregon Ducks and the Washington Huskies. The Huskers battle Oregon on Thursday night. The first serve is set for 9 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
