Women's Basketball Battles But Falls At UMass, 66-60

The CCSU women's basketball team battled the host Minutewomen of the University of Massachusetts on Sunday, but the Blue Devils came up on the short end of a tight 66-60 contest that was a back-and-forth affair that saw eight lead changes and six ties on the afternoon. With the loss, Central falls to 0-3 overall; while UMass is now 1-2 on the young season. Graduate student Meghan Kenefick led Central in scoring on Sunday with a career-best 17 points. She was joined in double figures by red-shirt freshman Selina Monestime with 15 points and junior Alonna Sellers added 12 points.
