NCAA wrestling championship brackets are out. Here's where OU, OSU wrestlers are seeded.
STILLWATER — Oklahoma State star wrestler Daton Fix says the seedings don’t matter for the NCAA Championships, but he should take some pride in earning the No. 1 seed for his final college tournament.
A three-time national runner-up and four-time All-American, Fix was announced by the NCAA as the top seed in the 133-pound bracket on Wednesday night as part of a group of four Cowboys seeded in the top eight in their weight classes. OU added one top-eight seed as well heading into the event, which is set for March 21-23 at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
After its runner-up finish in the Big 12 championships last weekend, OSU earned automatic bids in all 10 weight classes and seven of them are seeded 16th or better in their 33-man brackets. OU earned five automatic bids.
