NCAA tournament bracket revealed: Aliyah Boston, South Carolina take No. 1 overall seed
Considering what Aliyah Boston and South Carolina did this season, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that the Gamecocks took the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament.
The NCAA women’s tournament bracket was officially revealed Sunday night, and South Carolina was announced as the top seed for the second straight season. The Gamecocks mounted a perfect 32-0 run in the regular season and cruised to the SEC tournament final over Tennessee last week, which marked the program’s seventh in its past nine seasons. Boston, the tournament MVP and a national Player of the Year candidate, averaged 13.3 points and 9.7 rebounds this season.

South Carolina will host No. 16 seed Norfolk State in its first NCAA tournament game Friday.
Indiana, Virginia Tech and Stanford took the other No. 1 seeds in the women's bracket. Iowa, Utah, UConn and Maryland were the four No. 2 seeds.
