The Orlando Magic are not expected to be major players before the NBA trade deadline, but desperation from an in-conference rival might push them in a different direction. The Magic are 3-5. On top of that, Orlando is without Paolo Banchero for at least four weeks with an ankle injury. If the Milwaukee Bucks are serious about tearing down their core and rebuilding, the Magic, like everyone, will show some interest in Giannis Antetokounmpo, but he wouldn't be a good fit next to Banchero and Franz Wagner.

According to NBA Insider Jake Fischer, the Bucks “will likely have to deal (Brook) Lopez, (Bobby) Portis, or (Pat) Connaughton to upgrade their team. Trading MarJon Beauchamp won't really do anything, as they cannot aggregate salaries as a 2nd apron team.” Lopez, who is averaging 11.4 points and five rebounds per game so far this season, was reportedly in trade decisions this past offseason with teams like the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers previously showing interest
