NBA Twitter reacts to Steph Curry’s 60-point performance in OT loss vs. Hawks
Through four quarters and one overtime period, Steph Curry carried the Golden State Warriors against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night. Only two points off his career-high, the two-time MVP tallied a red-hot 60 points on 22-of-38 shooting from the field with 10 made 3-pointers to go along with six boards and four assists in 41 minutes.
However, it wasn’t enough to stop the Hawks from spoiling Curry’s season-high scoring effort, In a back and forth battle, the Warriors went ice-cold in overtime as the Hawks went on to win 141-134. The Hawks outscored the Warriors 18-11 in overtime to steal the win on Curry’s 60-point night.
Curry’s 60 point effort was the second-highest scoring performance of his career. Curry has only tallied 60 or more points one other time in his career, scoring a career-best 62 points against the Portland Trail Blazers in 2021.
Over his last six games, Curry is averaging 36.8 points on 52% from the field and 47.7% from beyond the arc.
Following his 60 point eruption, the NBA community on Twitter exploded with reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on social media on Saturday evening.
