Nashville Predators win streak ends after one of the most bizarre goals you'll ever see
The Nashville Predators' eight game winning streak ended in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens Tuesday night, thanks in part to a wild bounce off the glass at Bridgestone Arena.
With the Predators up 2-0 in the second period, Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher scored on wrist shot from above the circle to get Montreal on the board. Then, on the ensuing face-off, David Savard sent the puck into the Nashville zone for a routine dump in.
But the puck caromed off the corner stanchion of the glass, took a sharp left turn, and trickled into the Predators' empty net.
One of the craziest bounces you'll see in hockey. Puck bounces off the corner stanchion and into the open net.

With Juuse Saros behind the net, waiting for the dump in, he had no chance to stop the puck.
"I don't know exactly how that's physically possible," Filip Forsberg said after the game. "For it go straight out and straight in to the net like that."
That tied the game 2-2, but more importantly, it gave Montreal momentum going into the third period.
After the two teams exchanged goals in the third period − one by Ryan O'Reilly and one by Joshua Roy − the game went to overtime where Nick Suzuki scored a power play goal to win it for Montreal.
"It happens in hockey," Predators coach Andrew Brunette said after the game. "You see all kinds of weird goals in hockey. It's all about how you respond."
Brunette said he liked the Predators' response in the third period, but a late too many men penalty was a crucial mistake.
"The (penalty kill) did a good job to get us a point. For me, that shows some growth in the team from earlier in the year."
The Predators will look to start a new winning streak on Thursday at home against the Buffalo Sabres.
