Nashville Predators pull prank on Luke Evangelista. Here's how he responded

Luke Evangelista's nameplate was full Tuesday morning.

But the plate affixed atop the Nashville Predators forward's locker stall wasn't exactly full of his given name.

Instead it read in all capital, dark blue letters: "Pretty Boy Vincenzo."

The gag was the brainchild of Predators equipment manager Pete Rogers, assistant equipment manager Brad Peterson and forward Cody Glass.

Allow Evangelista to explain:

"It was one of my old usernames from when I was younger ... like one of my Instagram names or something," Evangelista said with a laugh.

Why "Pretty Boy Vincenzo?"

His middle name is Vincent.

" 'Pretty boy' is just something I went with, first thing that came to me," Evangelista said.

How did the equipment team know of the old username?

Glass ratted him out.

Evangelista joked that he was a little upset with Glass on Tuesday morning, but he quickly came to embrace the joke. He even snapped a picture of the nameplate and texted it to a few of his buddies.

"Actually, I really like it," he said. "I hope when I come to the game it's still like that."

Tuesday's nameplate wasn't the first time someone on the team used "Luke Evangelista" and "pretty" in the same breath.

Teammate and roommate Tommy Novak had this to say about Evangelista's hair preparation routine:

"He has to have his hat on for a certain amount of time after he steps out of the shower," Novak said. "He's a different guy like that. It's a little too pretty. Maybe he'll get a hair deal in the future."
