Nashville Predators prospect Yaroslav Askarov gets into goalie fight
Nashville Predators goalie prospect Yaroslav Askarov of the Milwaukee Admirals made his way past center ice, shed his gloves and helmet, tried to remove his shirt, and then began swinging away at opposing goalie Remi Poirier of the Texas Stars.
The two mixed it up amidst a line brawl Tuesday night between the two teams during their game in Texas.
Askarov, 20, was drafted in the first round, 11th overall, by the Predators in the 2020 NHL Draft. He stopped 31 shots Jan. 12 against the Montreal Canadiens in his one and only NHL game. He is 20-11-4 with three shutouts, a 2.56 goals-against average and .912 save percentage this season.
