NASCAR Speed Freaks: Can Las Vegas come up aces after Atlanta photo finish?

Does Sunday's photo finish have you officially all-in on the new Atlanta speedway?

KEN'S CALL: Photo finishes — three-wide at that — are the stuff of promo commercials and video games. So are crashes, of course. Still, the inability to put together 15 minutes of green-flag racing can get ponderous. Or maybe I'm just getting old.

RYAN'S RAMBLE: I was already officially all-in on Atlanta and Sunday certainly didn't change my mind any. I think an argument for any other track being the best in the sport right now is a tall order. The Gen-7 car plus the repave has been gold.

More of the same this week at Las Vegas?

KEN'S CALL: Not hardly. Last year in this race, there were just two yellows for accidents, average green-flag runs of 49 laps, and William Byron won by a "whopping" six-tenths of a second, which seems like a rout after Atlanta.

RYAN'S RAMBLE: The style of racing at Atlanta is singular, but I do expect a good one. These Gen-7 cars continue to put on shows at 1½-mile tracks. Now, if we could just figure out the rest of them.
