The Savannah Bananas are Coming to PNC Park

PNC Park may be the home of the Pittsburgh Pirates, but for two days next summer, a bunch of bananas will take the field. The Savannah Bananas, an independent baseball team known for on-field antics and fast-paced rules, is embarking on the “2025 Banana Ball World Tour,” hitting football and baseball stadiums from coast to coast. On Aug. 29 and 30, the Bananas will roll through PNC Park. Similar to the Harlem Globetrotters, the Bananas are an exhibition team that plays an in-house trio of opponents — the Firefighters, the Party Animals and the Texas Tailgaters — in games more focused on entertainment than competition.
