The Red Sox handed out one qualifying offer Monday — but not to the player you might have expected. Boston gave the offer — for one year at $21.05 million in 2025 — to starter Nick Pivetta but chose not to issue one to slugger Tyler O'Neill, according to multiple league sources. Pivetta has until November 19 at 4 p.m. ET to accept or decline it. If he declines, the Red Sox would receive draft pick compensation if he signs elsewhere.
