MLB playoff bracket: Division series schedule, how to watch postseason baseball

The 2024 MLB playoffs are in full swing now, with every American League and National League wild-card series over after the New York Mets got their dramatic Game 3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday night.

We're down to eight teams as division series action gets underway Saturday, with Game 1 scheduled in all four matchups. It's now a best-of-five game format, with the higher seed hosting Games 1 and 2, the lower seed hosting Games 3 and (if necessary) Game 4. The higher seed would play host to the deciding Game 5 if it reaches that point.

Stars like Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge and Bryce Harper are all playing, and this will represent Ohtani's MLB postseason debut. As chance would have it, three of the four division series are also regional matchups between division rivals. After a few upsets in the wild card round, there's plenty of intrigue about the teams that will ultimately advance to the ALCS and NLCS.

Here's what else you need to know to watch the division series of the 2024 MLB playoffs, including an updated bracket and schedule:
