Who will Missouri basketball play in SEC Tournament? Seed, time, TV info

The regular season came and went without a conference win for Missouri basketball, which lost all 18 of its SEC contests. That’s the first time that’s happened to the Tigers since 1908.

There’s always the tournament though, right?

Missouri has been locked in to the 14th and final seed in Nashville for several games due to its program-record losing streak. All that was left to learn was its opponent, which Saturday's contests decided.

Mizzou will face No. 11-seeded Georgia on Wednesday in the Music City in the first round of the SEC Tournament. The Tigers-Bulldogs matchup is slotted for the second and final game of the opening round, meaning it is slated to tip off at approximately 8:30 p.m. CDT.

That time is due to change, as the game will begin 25 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1, No. 12 Arkansas vs. No. 13 Ole Miss, which begins at 6 p.m.

The game, like all of the first- and second-round games in Nashville, will air on SEC Network.

The winner between Georgia and Missouri will face Florida in the final game of the second round on Thursday.

Mizzou (8-23, 0-18) also faced Georgia to open its SEC regular-season slate — a game that kicked off the historic losing streak.

UGA defeated MU 75-68 on Jan. 6 at Mizzou Arena, overturning an MU lead with less than five minutes to go to claim the win.

The Bulldogs (16-15, 6-12) had a rough run to close their regular-season slate, winning just two of their past 12 games.

Missouri hasn’t put a notch in the win column since Dec. 30, when the Tigers beat Central Arkansas at Mizzou Arena.

Last season, Missouri defeated Tennessee in the second round of the SEC Tournament before falling against Alabama in the semifinals.
