Who is Mississippi's top high school football player on defense at midseason? Vote now

Last week, the Clarion Ledger highlighted Mississippi's top high school football players on defense at the halfway point of the 2024 MHSAA and MAIS seasons.

Fans may vote in the poll BELOW one time per hour per device. The poll closes at noon on Saturday.

Stats listed are only those through the first five weeks of the season.

Preston Ashley, Brandon: Ashley has 14 tackles with an interception and has only given up eight yards receiving to opposing wide receivers.

Kohl Bradley, George County: The defensive back has 41 tackles, two interceptions and three pass deflections.

Devontray Brewer, Tupelo: The sophomore has 41 tackles with 13 tackles for loss and five sacks.

Tommarion Brown, Winona: Brown has 67 tackles with eight tackles for loss and two interceptions.

Corxavier Coleman, Louisville: The senior has 59 total tackles with 46 solo, four tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.

Donovan Conner, Noxubee County: The junior linebacker has 62 total tackles with 37 solo and 4.5 tackles for loss.

Raderrion Daniels, Lake Cormorant: Daniels has nine tackles with four pass deflections, an interception and two forced fumbles.

Ky Kirk, Winston Academy: Kirk has four interceptions for 149 return yards and seven tackles.

Dariyun Moses, Morton: The sophomore has five interceptions with 33 total tackles this season.

Khalil Norwood, Brandon: Norwood has 78 total tackles with 40 solo and five tackles for loss.

Delwin Perkins, McComb: Perkins has 22 tackles with four interceptions and four pass deflections.

Andre Peters III, Gulfport: Peters has 54 tackles with four tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.

Larry Reynolds, Warren Central: Reynolds has 30 tackles with 16 tackles for loss and five sacks.

Jordan Rogers, Horn Lake: The defensive back has 31 tackles with 14 solo and three interceptions.

Dmarion Smith, Lanier: Smith has recorded 39 tackles with 15 tackles for loss and four sacks this season.

Tavorian Smith, Pisgah: The junior has 51 tackles with three tackles for loss and four pass deflections.

Scottie Toothman, Vancleave: Toothman has produced 66 total tackles with eight tackles for loss and 37 solo.

Tyshun Willis, Velma Jackson: The Mississippi State commit leads MHSAA in sacks with 10 and has 17 tackles.

Donalvin Wilson, Water Valley: Wilson has 22 tackles for loss and eight sacks, with 51 yards lost and 17 quarterback hurries.

Bralan Womack, Hartfield Academy: Womack has eight interceptions and eight tackles with 12 total touchdowns, including offense.
