Milwaukee Bucks re-sign Thanasis Antetokounmpo

The Milwaukee Bucks rounded out their roster on Friday by re-signing free agent forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo.The team now has the maximum 15 guaranteed contracts it is allowed to carry, along with two-way players Lindell Wigginton and Omari Moore.

Antetokounmpo, 31, returns to the Bucks after reaching unrestricted free agency following the season. He has spent the last four seasons in Milwaukee, appearing in 162 games (11 starts) and averaging about eight minutes per game in that time.

He played in just 37 games last season and shot a career-low 43.5% from the field, but he is a 50.7% field goal shooter for his career.

Antetokounmpo, who is set to participate for the Greek national team in the upcoming World Cup, was selected by New York at No. 51 in the 2014 draft. He played in the G League for two seasons before making his NBA debut with the Knicks in the 2015-16 season. He then played three seasons in Europe before joining the Bucks for the 2019-20 campaign.

In his five-year NBA career, Antetokounmpo has averaged 2.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game while shooting 58.1% on his two-point field goal attempts.
