Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson was cleared to play prior to Week 6 and was active for the first time this season. This week, Mike Tomlin said Wilson is "in consideration" of starting.

It's far too early in preparation for the New York Jets for Tomlin to name Wilson the starter, but it's certainly leaning that way.

"We're looking hard at it this week and it's in consideration," Tomlin said in his weekly press conference.

Whether fans like it or not, Wilson was the starter in the offseason and has never been listed as QB2 on their official depth chart. Fields hasn't lost the job but it was never securely his.
