‘Mid-Korean All-Star Game’ is a very good time for a Mannequin Challenge
It remains to be seen what kind of goofs, spoofs, bits and bloopers the NBA and its players have in store for next month’s 2016-17 All-Star Game in New Orleans. If they’re running low on ideas, though, they could do worse than looking at how stuff gets down in South Korea, where players and coaches committed to taking a break during Sunday’s 2017 KBL All-Star Game. A very literal, virality-inspired break:
We’ve seen in-game Mannequin Challenges in the realms of California high-school football and Finnish ice hockey, but to the best of my knowledge, this is the first time professional basketball players and coaches have conspired to pull one off during an actual (well, exhibition) game. Will it be the last? Well, that seems like it all depends on whether the NBA’s coaches chose Joel Embiid as a reserve for the Eastern Conference, doesn’t it?
You're a little late to the Mannequin Challenge, Thibs. But we appreciate the effort.

(An aside, brought on by the lack of “Black Beatles” in the KBL clip: I’m betting it wouldn’t take much more than a phone call for the NBA could actually get Rae Sremmurd involved. Just have the Atlanta Hawks ask Gucci Mane to hit them up.)
Hat-tip to Sportando.
