How many Michigan football players were picked in 2024 NFL Draft? Every Wolverine selected
The sun has set on the 2024 NFL Draft, and while the Michigan Wolverines didn't challenge Georgia's record of 15 players picked in one draft, it was a wildly successful weekend in Detroit for the Maize and Blue.
A whopping 13 players were selected 40 minutes east of Ann Arbor, setting a program record and leading the way among programs in 2024. Two of those players were drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers, Jim Harbaugh's new home, with the final Wolverine Cornelius Johnson being the second of those players.
Eighteen Michigan players were eligible for this year's NFL draft, highlighted by starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy — who was Michigan's sole first-round pick. McCarthy went to the Minnesota Vikings at No. 10 overall after the Vikings traded up with the Jets. On Day 2, Michigan saw multiple Wolverines picked in succession twice: Once when Kris Jenkins and Mike Sainristil went to the Bengals and Commanders back-to-back and again when Blake Corum, Roman Wilson and Zak Zinter went back-to-back-to-back to the Rams, Steelers and Browns. The other Wolverine picked on Day 2 was Junior Colson, who Jim Harbaugh scooped up for the Chargers.
On Day 3, Michigan had six players drafted, rounding out a huge weekend on its home turf.
